Keeping the Spirit of Los Angeles Alive

As we all know, the fires that began in Pacific Palisades on January 7, 2025, continue to burn. The Altadena fire that began the following day is still going as well, and as of the writing of this post (January 11), the fires are still far from over. Thousands of people have lost their homes, and about 10 have lost their lives, but thousands are also helping in whichever way they can.

Amidst the tragedy of the L.A. fires, it’s easy to lose sight of hope, but we can help combat this feeling by sharing our stories that show our resilience and determination. As we embrace the importance of storytelling, let’s commit to keeping our city alive and hopeful for its future.

This website is my humble offer as a place for all Angelenos to share their experience, memories, and stories related to the fires or the past. Now, more than ever, it is crucial to tell our stories, as doing so can keep the spirit of our city alive and empower us to keep going. Everyone has a story worth telling; your entire life in L.A.—from the trip to the lively streets of Pasadena to the serene beaches of Malibu and the hikes to the Hollywood sign—needs to be heard. Every voice matters, and each story can contribute to our community, reminding us that we are united. So let’s share our stories and contribute to the larger picture of what it means to be an Angeleno.

What is your L.A. story? Please share! Use the form below.
